Prabowo Subianto, President of Indonesia, embarked on a journey to Bandung, West Java, via the Whoosh high-speed train, accompanied by members of the public from Halim Station in Jakarta. His arrival at the station at 7:45 p.m. local time dressed in a cream-colored outfit and navy blue cap caused a stir of surprise and excitement among commuters. Prabowo warmly interacted with the crowd, waving to onlookers before boarding the train at 8:00 p.m. bound for Tegalluar Station in Bandung.
Scheduled to inaugurate the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at the Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), from August 7 to 9, President Prabowo will deliver the keynote address alongside Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Education Minister Brian Yuliarto. Themed “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” KSTI 2025 aims to serve as a pivotal strategic platform on both national and international levels.
