The Free Health Check in Schools program (CKG Sekolah) was officially launched today, August 4, 2025, in Jakarta. The program rollout took place simultaneously in 12 schools, with enthusiastic participation from students. Fritz Edward Siregar, Deputy for Information Coordination and Communication Evaluation at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), highlighted that CKG Sekolah is a crucial effort in developing Indonesia’s golden generation. This school-based initiative is a part of the broader Free Health Check (CKG) program that began in February 2025.
President Prabowo Subianto’s Fast Results for the Best Outcomes program prioritizes initiatives like CKG Sekolah. The program emphasizes the importance of parents in encouraging their children to participate in the health checks, as they are free and conveniently provided directly at schools. At the launch event at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 8 in South Jakarta, 617 students took part in the program, receiving health assessments from 30 medical personnel.
Students undergo 13 types of health screenings, including nutritional status, blood pressure, blood sugar, dental check-ups, and mental health evaluations. Launched on February 10, 2025, CKG is an integral part of President Prabowo Subianto’s healthcare agenda, focusing on preventive and promotive care. The goal is to reach 60 million beneficiaries by the end of 2025 and eventually expand the program to cover the entire Indonesian population.
CKG services are provided through various healthcare facilities, schools, and local communities, with digital integration through the SATUSEHAT Mobile app and Ministry of Health’s WhatsApp channel. More than 15 million people have benefited from the program as of July 30, 2025, with a recent focus on reaching over 53 million students in schools nationwide. The overarching aim is to improve public health outcomes and build a healthier generation for Indonesia’s future.
