Sugiono, the newly appointed Secretary-General of the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) for the 2025–2030 term, expressed his gratitude towards Ahmad Muzani, his predecessor who held the position for 17 years. He praised Muzani for his significant contributions to the party and his role in leading Prabowo Subianto to the presidency. Sugiono also acknowledged the efforts of Prof. Dr. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad in building the party. He thanked all party cadres for their support and emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity within the party. With the new Gerindra Central Executive Board (DPP) in place for the 2025–2030 period, Sugiono, as the Secretary-General, expressed his commitment to supporting President Prabowo Subianto in his efforts to build a just and prosperous Indonesia.
