President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to provide updates on his state visits to several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the visit, Prabowo shared the progress made during his diplomatic tour, highlighting breakthroughs achieved, especially in negotiations with the European Union regarding the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence in Solo at 6:00 PM local time, where they were warmly welcomed by Jokowi and First Lady Iriana. The meeting between the two presidents was described as cordial and relaxed, covering various current issues and key points from Prabowo’s 15-day diplomatic tour.
Prabowo expressed gratitude for the positive outcomes of his international engagements, mentioning specific discussions in countries such as Belarus regarding trade opportunities. Emphasizing Indonesia’s strong international presence and its commitment to neutrality, Prabowo highlighted the country’s reputation for peaceful cooperation and non-alignment with political blocs.
He underscored Indonesia’s efforts to foster friendly relations with all nations and its policy of non-interference in domestic affairs, which has garnered acceptance and respect globally. Also present at the meeting were State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo.
