President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to Saudi Arabia in July 1, 2025, was warmly welcomed by Indonesian elementary school children residing in Jeddah. The children greeted the President with great enthusiasm, waving flags and chanting, “Welcome, Mr. President!” What began as a formal reception quickly turned into a heartwarming and emotional gathering as President Prabowo engaged with the children, smiling and taking photos with them. One student, Arsad Hanfana Al-Syarabi, proudly introduced himself as the child of Indonesian Embassy staff in Jeddah. Before continuing his visit, President Prabowo shared a simple but heartfelt message, encouraging the children to focus on their studies.
This encounter was not only touching for the children but also for the Indonesian community in Jeddah, including Hanif Hasanuddin from the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM). Hanif expressed gratitude for the President’s visit and shared his hopes for Indonesia’s future. Accompanied by high-ranking Indonesian officials, President Prabowo’s visit strengthened the bond with the Indonesian community abroad. Beyond being a diplomatic mission, the visit created a meaningful moment that left a lasting impact on the young generation in Saudi Arabia.
