In a press conference on the Fundamental Economic Conditions and the 2025 State Budget, Thomas Djiwandono, a Financial Sector Member of the Prabowo-Gibran Government Transition Task Force, stated that he has been working closely with Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati and her team for nearly two months. He emphasized the natural and synchronized process of collaboration between the economic team and the Ministry of Finance.
Thomas also mentioned a recent meeting between President Joko Widodo, President-elect Prabowo Subianto, and Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco. It was confirmed that both parties have agreed on the main outlines of the 2025 State Budget, including allocating Rp 71 trillion for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.
Economic Coordinating Minister Airlangga also confirmed the meeting and highlighted the unity between President Jokowi and President-elect Prabowo on economic matters. Overall, it seems that there is a smooth transition and agreement on important economic issues between the current and future government.
