In a briefing with the Indonesian Cabinet, TNI, and Polri officials, President Joko Widodo emphasized the importance of stability for the development of the Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) project in East Kalimantan. He mentioned that president-elect Prabowo Subianto is committed to accelerating the project in order to achieve Indonesia’s vision of progress and prosperity by 2045.
Jokowi highlighted the need for synergy across all sectors, especially with a professional TNI and Polri to maintain security and stability in the country. He also mentioned the significance of small acts of kindness by TNI and Polri personnel to build trust with the public.
Furthermore, Jokowi urged for a smooth transition to Prabowo’s leadership and emphasized the importance of neutrality and maintaining a conducive environment during the upcoming regional elections. The goal is to ensure a seamless handover and avoid any disruptions in the transition of power.
