Defense Minister Emphasizes Importance of Protection for TNI and Polri Cadet Officers
Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto recently addressed 906 cadet officers of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri) in Jakarta, stressing the essential role they play in protecting the nation. Prabowo highlighted the first goal outlined in the country’s constitution, which is to protect all of Indonesia’s territories.
He emphasized the significance of protection, stating that development efforts would be meaningless if the nation cannot safeguard its citizens. Prabowo urged the cadet officers to be strong and outstanding soldiers and police officers, as their role is crucial for the survival and security of the nation.
Reference was also made to a study by Harvard University, highlighting the importance of a superior military, intelligence, and bureaucracy for civilizations to thrive. Vice President Ma’ruf Amin also provided guidance to the cadet officers, urging them to be responsive and proactive in addressing public complaints.
The event was attended by top officials from the TNI and Polri, reinforcing the message of the essential role these cadet officers play in protecting and serving the nation.
