The Minister of Defense reported to President Joko Widodo about the outcomes of the High-Level Conference in Jordan and his official visit to Saudi Arabia on Thursday, June 13 at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.
According to Prabowo, the summit in Jordan focused on discussing humanitarian aid in preparation for a possible ceasefire. He also mentioned his efforts to garner support from other countries to pressure Israel to halt its attacks on Gaza.
Prabowo highlighted that several European countries have recently recognized Palestine and called for its acceptance as a member of the UN. The UN Security Council has also proposed a ceasefire without any veto, indicating a significant step towards resolving the conflict.
While emphasizing the need for Israel to stop its attacks, Prabowo also urged Hamas to agree to a ceasefire for the benefit of its own people.
