Prabowo Subianto, the President-elect for the 2024-2029 term, and Minister of Defense recently visited his former commander, retired General Subagyo Hadi Siswoyo (HS) in Yogyakarta. During the visit, Subagyo congratulated Prabowo on his honorary four-star general rank, which he received at the end of February 2024.
Prabowo expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and mentioned that this visit was his first trip to Yogyakarta after the Presidential Election. Retired General Subagyo HS was Prabowo’s commander during his time in the Special Forces Command (Kopassus) from 1994-1995. Subagyo later went on to serve as the Chief of Staff of the Army (KSAD) under three presidential administrations and as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council during President Joko Widodo’s administration.
