Prabowo Subianto, who has been elected as the President for the 2024-2029 term, is determined to ensure the smooth and leak-free implementation of the program that provides free nutritious meals to school children.
During an exclusive interview with tvOne titled “Prabowo Subianto Speaks for Indonesia,” which was broadcasted on Wednesday evening (22/5), Prabowo discussed in detail how this objective will be achieved. He mentioned that the budget for the nutritious meal program for students has been carefully calculated, and he is confident in its realization.
Prabowo highlighted the importance of organizing the program effectively to ensure its success, focusing on the system and scheme rather than the organizational structure. He emphasized the need to prevent any leaks in the program’s implementation during his administration.
The distribution of free milk to children across Indonesia will be tailored to the specific characteristics of each region. For example, in Southwest Maluku, Moa Island, where buffalo milk is abundant, milk can easily be sourced for the children in that area.
In regions where acquiring milk may be challenging, the distribution of other nutritious foods like fish and eggs will be prioritized. Prabowo pointed out that eggs contain better proteins, minerals, and nutrients compared to milk, making them a cost-effective and beneficial option in some areas.
Prabowo stressed the importance of flexibility in the distribution of nutritious food and free milk, considering the diverse geographical characteristics of different regions in Indonesia. The goal is to ensure that all children receive adequate and nourishing meals, taking into account the unique needs of each area.
