Jakarta – Prabowo Subianto, the President-elect of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term, has announced that he is currently focusing on getting ready for the upcoming presidential and vice-presidential inauguration scheduled for October 20, 2024.
In his preparations, Prabowo is studying the various issues that the nation is facing and engaging in discussions with all stakeholders to develop strategic plans to strengthen Indonesia. This proactive approach is aimed at ensuring that he can immediately start working after the inauguration, without any delay.
During a speech at the halal bihalal event of the Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) in Jakarta on Sunday afternoon (28/4), Prabowo expressed his gratitude for the assistance and attention provided by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) throughout the preparation process. He mentioned that their relationship has grown closer, with Jokowi now referring to him as ‘Mas Bowo’ instead of ‘Menhan’ (Minister of Defense).
Prabowo highlighted that one of the ways Jokowi has supported him is by instructing him to make official visits to certain countries. In early April 2024, Prabowo visited China and Japan, with plans to visit the Middle East as directed by President Jokowi.
